In My Shoes volunteers are essential to our mission. Whether you serve by rocking a newborn, giving the Mission Staff a break, or cleaning the house, your time gives these young families a fresh start in life.
Do it for love.
Our residents are women in the Dallas-Fort Worth area who are pregnant and without safe housing. Many come from cycles of poverty, trauma, addiction, or abuse. What they need most-what they often say no one has ever offered-is love without conditions. That's where you come in.
Our volunteer opportunities come in all shapes and sizes.
- House coverage. Answer phones, prep meals, tidy common areas, or simply be present and available.
- Babysitting. Care for infants while moms attend therapy, classes, or job interviews.
- Service Saturday. Join us the third Saturday of every month for hands-on help with repairs, cleaning, or organizing.
- Life skills training. Teach what you know-parenting, relationships, cooking, job readiness, budgeting, and more.
- Prayer support. Commit to praying regularly for our moms, babies, staff, and volunteers. Your intercession means everything.

In My Shoes fills a unique void in Dallas. There aren't many organizations that meet the needs of the most vulnerable. In My Shoes provides services, support, and community for mothers and their babies.
